50 weeks

In 2 weeks Eli will be ONE!!! Wow! Time flies when your having fun :) Seriously this little man has changed my life. It is not about me. My everyday life is completely different because of Eli. And I love the change. I love being his mommy. I love the way he looks at me like I am the coolest. I love that he wants to cuddle with me before he goes to sleep. I love the way he holds my face with both his hands. I love how he thinks leaning on me is funny. Babies change everything. But it is so stinkin' (literally and metaphorically) great.

A lot of people are asking when Mr. E is going to get a baby brother or sister, well hold your horses! We definitely want more kiddos, I mean come on, we make beautiful babies! But we aren't worried about making sure they are close in age or anything like that... I know siblings a few years apart that are not close and I am 10 years older than my siblings and we are very close. We are trusting the Lord to reveal to us when our family should grow.

Teeth - Poor Buddy, he is cutting molars and they are not being nice to him! When he opens his mouth up wide I can see those suckers coming in and it almost looks like it is bruising his gums

Eli's Cuteness - This little man is hilarious. Eli has a great sense of humor! He likes to throw his head back and give a big "toothy" grin. Eli also likes to come running to me with a huge toothy grin.

Milestone - Feeding Eli is a true "experience" This little guy loves to throw food when he gets bored. He thinks it's hilarious to push the food between his front teeth and out his mouth. So transitioning to solid food has been hard for me because he throws everything. So it has been easier for me to continue with the mush so that breakfast/lunch/dinner doesn't involve deep cleaning at the end of every meal.

Daddy's Birthday - Christian's birthday was last weekend and we had so much fun! On Friday we had a great meal at McGuire's then went and saw a fun movie with some fun friends :) And on Saturday we had the youth of our church over for Praise and Worship. Then Sunday was Christian's birthday party! We had a fun time playing softball with family and friends.

Planning Eli's Birthday - We have a theme! Yo Gabba Gabba! :) I am still trying to figure out how big of a party we should have. There are soo many people that we love and that love Eli, we are trying to decide immediate family? all family? family and friends?

One Year Project - I am making a One Year poster of Eli from the time he was born and each month.... this is what it looks like so far...

New Favorites - Looooveeesss those puppies! Loves running around with Cowboy and Bear! And they love that he throws the ball for them!

46, 47, 48 & 49 weeks {11 months}

I am in such denial about Eli turning ONE in 3 weeks, that this is all I can say about that.....

Weight - About 22 lbs according to the bathroom scale

Looking forward to this weekend - Christian's birthday party! We are having a softball game party to celebrate Christian's 26th birthday with some friends on Sunday. Eli will love running wild in one of the unoccupied fields, Eli loves to play in the grass!

Swim Lessons - We have Eli in swim lessons at the YMCA. We have only been to one lesson.... When Eli first got in the water he was not crazy about it.... which was weird to me because Eli loves bath time! But after a few minutes Eli started to enjoy himself splashing around and playing with the toys. After swim lessons Eli slept like a rock.

So what's new - Super fake cry. Eli has the funnest fake cry. I love his sweet kisses. He hasn't quite figured out that when you kiss mommy you should shut your mouth! He likes to "help" mommy... "help" do the dishes, laundry... Eli loves his puppies. He likes to give the dogs his snacks and pacifiers... Eli also likes to throw the ball for our dog Cowboy. He loves to play outside! He wants to be independent so bad! In the morning Eli is literally crawling away from me while I am trying to put on his clothes.

Eli's Birthday Present - This is what we are thinking about getting Mr. Man for his birthday
